Independence Party gubernatorial candidate Tom Horner has picked Jim Mulder as his running mate. Mulder is former Executive Director of the Association of Minnesota Counties. The selection is believed to be aimed at building support outside of the Twin Cities. Mulder resigned from his job just a few months ago to pursue a doctoral degree in public administration.
Horner, co-owner of a Bloomington Public Relations firm, is the Independence Party’s endorsed candidate for governor. Rob Hahn and John Uldrich are challenging him in the August 10th primary.
