Dr Reed Drops Out of Race for Congress
One of the two Democrats seeking the party’s nomination for Congress in the 6th district has dropped out of the primary race. Dr Maureen Reed says she’s getting out because it’s time for the DFL party to unite behind one person. She says a prolonged primary battle between her and state senator Terryl Clark would only help the Republican incumbent — Congresswoman Michele Bachmann. Reed announced her withdrawal last night and endorsed Clark.
