Dairy Farm Disputes E. Coli Accusations
A southern Minnesota dairy farm is disputing allegations that its unpasteurized milk caused a recent E. coli outbreak. The Hartmann Dairy Farm says a state Department of Health investigation did not turn up any E. coli-tainted milk. Five people got sick after consuming raw, unpasteurized milk or other dairy products from the farm in rural Gibbon. Three of the five victims were hospitalized and released.
