The University of Minnesota Board of Regents is reviewing a budget that calls for a tuition hike of 4.4 percent. But the increase is no higher than those at Minnesota’s private colleges and other universities; and in fact it’s lower than at schools such as Wisconsin and California.

Tuition at the U of M has doubled this decade.
