Give Money To Charity, Not Panhandlers

homeless sign Give Money To Charity, Not PanhandlersHennepin County, the city of Minneapolis and the Downtown Improvement Council have partnered on a new public awareness campaign to educate people about panhandling and homelessness.

Cathy ten Broeke is the City/County Coordinator to End Homelessness. She says instead of giving cash to panhandlers, people should donate that money to local charities.

Posters will be placed throughout downtown Minneapolis encouraging people to contribute online at the web site GiveRealChange.org.
