jearlyn10 Center Stage   6/20/10Rohan Preston is here for his weekly visit with Jearlyn.  The Star Tribune theatre critic reviews Patty Lupone’s performance at Orchestra Hall, Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Jersey Lily at the Park Square Theatre, and Minneapolis Musical Theatre’s production of Mame!

Several students from Golden Valley’s Perpich Center for Arts Education will be heading to Lincoln, NE to perform their original play, 9th Grade Nothin, at this week’s International Theatre Festival.  Two of the the students who co-wrote and will perform in the piece, along their teacher, join the program to talk about the play.

Vampires seem to be all the rage these days.  The Jungle Theatre  is combining the subject with a style of acting that takes the audience back to the past.  Director Joel Sass talks about The Mystery of Irma Vep.

The Minneapolis Musical Theatre is finishing up their run of the classic play, Mame! at the Illusion Theatre.  Artistic director Steven Merdink talks about the show, which continues through Sunday, June 27th.
