Judge Rules on Anti-Gay Activist at Festival

courts Judge Rules on Anti Gay Activist at Festival

Reaction to a federal judge’s decision…which will allow a Wisconsin man to pass out bibles at the Twin Cities Pride Festival this weekend.

Festival organizers had asked Judge John Tunheim for a temporary restraining order against Brian Johnson.

They had argued that they should have the right to prevent Johnson from passing out literature during the gay pride event because they’re leasing Loring Park for the weekend.

But Tunheim said the park is a public forum, so Johnson’s free-speech rights must be honored.
