35wflood Drying Out, Cleaning Up

Hail, heavy rain and strong winds pounded southern Minnesota — including the Twin Cities — last night. The good news? No deaths or injuries. Flash flooding caused problems for motorists in such areas as

I-35W in south Minneapolis, Highway 169 and Medicine Lake Road and Highway 280 at Broadway. Some areas of the Twin Cities received 2 inches of rain or more. And trees were knocked down in Golden Valley and many other communities.
