water Plane Sinks In Lake

Two men escaped after their small plane sank in Lake Alexander in central Minnesota. According to the Morrison County sheriff’s department, the plane attempted to take off around 1 o’clock Sunday afternoon from the lake but wind caused the wing to catch the water. The Cessna float plane ended up sinking in 17 feet of water, but both occupants got out okay.  They’ve been identified as 52-year-old pilot Douglas Koch of Scottsdale, Arizona and 42-year-old passenger Michael Hubbard of Wentworth, South Dakota.
