Wetterling Search Continues

jacob wetterling Wetterling Search Continues

Authorities are saying very little about their search of the area in St Joseph where 11 year-old Jacob Wetterling was kidnapped at gunpoint more than 20 years ago. That search is expected to wrap up today. More than a dozen vehicles, trailers and earth-moving equipment were seen on the farm property on Wednesday. One source indicated officers were re-tracing their investigation with the help of modern technology which wasn’t available in 1989, when Jacob was abducted. There’s been no trace of Jacob since his abduction — and no one’s been arrested. A 54 year-old man who lives on the property with his parents has been questioned about Jacob in the past. A relative says he’s also given a DNA sample and taken lie-detector tests.

WCCO’s Adam Carter is in St Joseph, covering today’s developments.

In the artical you mention trucks leaving full but you don’t know where they are going. Can’t you follow the trucks to find out where the evadence is being collected?

Great question, Rollin. We’ve leaned the trucks took the dirt to a public works facility in St. Joseph where it will be sifted through. Thanks for your question.
