Flags are flying at half-staff for Army specialist Matthew J. Johnson, killed on July 14th in Afghanistan. Johnson was born in Maplewood and graduated from North High School in 2008. His funeral is Friday afternoon at the Fort Snelling Chapel.And on Sunday, services will be held for 1st Lieutenant Christopher Goeke at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Burnsville. The 23 year-old Goeke also was killed in Afghanistan one month before he was scheduled to return home.
