Plane Rescue Now Recovery Effort
A rescue effort has turned into a recovery effort following the crash of a small plane into Lake Michigan. The plane was taking a cancer patient, his wife and a family friend to the Mayo Clinic when it went down Friday morning near Ludington, Michigan. The pilot, 66-year old Jerry Freed of Alma, Michigan was rescued. Authorities combed the area for 27 hours and have concluded there’s little chance anyone else survived.
