First Lt. Christopher Goeke was killed July 13th while responding to an attack on an Afghan National Army facility in the key southern city of Kandahar. The 2004 graduate of Apple Valley High School was 23 years old.  He’s being buried at Fort Snelling National Cemetery with full military honors.Governor Tim Pawlenty is ordering all U.S. and Minnesota flags be flown at half-staff at state and federal buildings from sunrise to sunset in honor of Goeke.
