alt=Specialist Daniel Drevnick grew up in Woodbury Minnesota and graduated from Woodbury High School in 2005. As Dan grew, he played league Baseball and Football. He found skateboarding and snowboarding fun but his main passion was Drag Racing. Dan spent every summer with his father at the race track. As soon as Dan could drive, he was running his own car down the quarter mile.

Dan joined the Army National Guard in 2005. He was at Fort Leonard Wood Missouri for both Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training. Dan became a MP with the 34th Red Bulls unit based in Stillwater.

His career goal was to be a Minnesota State Trooper so the MP choice was perfect for him. Dan also worked for Tires Plus and attended Century Collage in the Law Enforcement program.

dan class 02 Augusts Veteran Of The Month: SPC Daniel P. Drevnick

SPC. Daniel P. Drevnick was deployed to Basra Iraq, leaving home on March 2, 2009. Dan celebrated his 22nd birthday on April 13th.

On July 16, 2009 at 9:15 PM a hostile rocket (indirect fire) was launched into the compound. Three American Hero’s died in the attack, SPC. Daniel Drevnick, SPC. James Wertish and SPC. Carlos Wilcox.
