Two people drowned in the Mississippi River during the weekend. A former on-call firefighter for the city of Woodbury was one of the victims. 44 year old Curtis Golla drowned early Sunday after jumping into the Mississippi to swim. It happened in Hager City, wisconsin around 2;45 a.m. and the body was found in 10 to 12 feet of water. He had been visiting a near-by houseboat. On Saturday 27 year old Andrew Revels of LaCrosse, Wisconsin was killed after he apparently became submerged under a barge while tubing on the river in southeastern Minnesota…….near Brownsville which is in Houston County. He was wearing a life jacket.
