4 young children are back home safe after being found walking along a Twin Cities freeway early this morning. State Patrol Captain Matt Langer says the patrol and Maplewood police responded to a call from a motorist who noticed the kids walking along interstate 35E near Roselawn Avenue around 5 this morning. The children told authorities they walked away from a ‘placement’ or foster home because they didn’t like it there. Langer says there were four children ranging in age from 4 to 9. He says it’s always dangerous for anyone to be walking along a freeway, particularly kids, so they’re grateful for the phone call and glad the kids are safe and sound.
