A water accident in Lake Minnetonka involved a child.
It happened around 8-30 Thursday night in Mound. A 7 year old boy was visiting a residence on the 18 hundred block of Shorewood Lane. The homeowner found the child in the water and unresponsive. The victim was pulled from the water and CPR was administered by the homeowner, Mound police and an off-duty Mound firefighter. A neighbor also helped. The boy was taken to Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis and his condition at this time is not known. The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the circumstances. Name of the boy has not been released yet.
