Two pit bull owners are facing criminal charges for their dog’s attack on a mail carrier in Minneapolis.The city attorney has charged Otello Pitts and Gidget Nicks with misdemeanors for a July 27 attack on mail carrier Bryan Bloomquist.  The dog attack left Bloomquist with 41 wounds, which required surgery and stitches.  Police shot and killed the dogs.

The misdemeanor charges carry a maximum sentence of 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine upon conviction.
