CBS’s The Price Is Right is conducting a national contestant search in Minnesota, it was announced today by Brien Kennedy, WCCO TV Vice President and General Manager. Contestant hopefuls will be interviewed and two lucky local participants will be selected to fly out to Los Angeles for a taping of the legendary game show sometime between October 2010 and December 2010. A bidder’s spot on Contestants’ Row will be guaranteed to one of the two participants, who will learn if they are selected to “come on down” when they hear their name called during the show’s taping. Bidders then compete for the chance to play a pricing game on stage and spin the big wheel for a spot in the “showcase showdown”.

The Minnesota contestant search will take place Sunday, August 22, 2010 at Black Bear Casino Resort, 1785 Highway 210, Carlton, Minnesota (just south of Duluth) from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M.
