An “end of summer” crackdown on drunk drivers is getting underway in Minnesota. 400 state law enforcement agencies will be joining forces to enforce DWI laws across the state. Minnesota State Patrol Lt. Eric Roeske says the end of August has been one of the deadliest periods for alcohol-related crashes.
In Minnesota, one in seven drivers have a DWI on record with 30,000 arrested each year. Many of them are repeat offenders.
