jearlyn3 Center Stage   8/29/10A local dance company is getting ready to perform several shows celebrating the accomplishments of women.  Maia Maiden, founder of the Conscious Spirit Dance Company, explains how several styles of dance will come together in B-Girl Be, Women in Hip Hop, and Snapshots, Reflections of Women.

The Dakota Jazz Club continually has a full slate of entertainers playing in downtown Minneapolis.  Owner Lowell Picket talks about which musicians will be playing in the next few weeks.

The Old Log Theatre’s Sounds of Summer series continues Monday night with the stylings of Cabaret music.  Pianist, composer, and singer Jimmy Martin comes in-studio to preview what you will hear if you make it to the Old Log on August 30th.

Among all of the musical acts at the 2010 State Fair is a play that might make you feel homesick, even though you’re already home.  How to Talk Minnesotan: The Musical will be playing at the DNR Stage Friday, September 3rd at 1 PM.  Music Director and Composer Drew Jansen explains the show and how it will fit in at the Fair.
