Home prices jumped 2 1/2 percent in June
Home prices jumped 2 1/2 percent in Minneapolis from May to June — tied for highest in the nation. That’s according to the Standard and Poor’s/Case-Shiller 20-city home price index. Minneapolis, Detroit, and Chicago all tied for the highest month-month-jump. The rise in prices may be history however, once the expiration of the homebuyer tax credit starts to register.
