School officials are taking steps to allay concerns about a ‘person of interest’ in the Wetterling abduction. Ever since state and local law enforcement officials excavated some property near the home of Jacob Wetterling several weeks ago, there’s been attention on a “person of interest” in the 11 year-old boy’s unsolved abduction in 1989. That person has been a music teacher in the Rocori school district for decades. But the recent developments prompted some parents to express concern about the safety of their children. Now,
the Star Tribune quotes Cold Spring school officials as saying a “paraprofessional” will accompany students when they’re with the music teacher at St Boniface Elementary school. The teacher has never been charged in the Wetterling case.
