A new survey finds a lot of pessimism in the region about the nation’s economic recovery.
Creighton University Economist Ernie Goss says business supply managers in Minnesota and eight other neighboring states are not optimistic about the next six months.
In fact, confidence is the lowest it’s been since January of last year. In addition, more than one third of those surveyed expect another recession next year.
The problem? Goss says the housing sector is a big drag on the economy. He does not expect a double dip recession, but much slower growth than expected.
