
The government’s star witness in the fraud case against Minnesota businessman Tom Petters will learn her sentence today.Both the defense and prosecution are asking Federal Judge Richard Kyle to reward Deanna Coleman for her cooperation. While Coleman faces a maximum of five years under her plea agreement, her lawyer is asking for no prison time at all. The government is recommending leniency but hasn’t proposed a specific sentence.
