jearlyn Center Stage   9/5/10The Lyric Arts Theatre is celebrating their 15th anniversary (the 10th at their present location in Anoka) and managing director Laura Johnson joins the program to run down this season’s lineup.  That schedule starts with a rendition of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (Sept. 10th-26th).  Scott Ford, the show’s director, also chimes in.

First Lady Michelle Obama has invited several of the globe’s best-known dance troupes to the White House next week for a celebratory event focused on the discipline.  Morgan Thorson, Citypages’ reigning and two-time Choreographer of the Year, discusses the importance of the event and how dance continues to grow.

A new show at the Actor’s Theatre Camp Cabaret offers some unique and risque material.  Director John Hanes talks about My First Time, a production that focuses on the loss of someone’s virginity.

Another Tennessee Williams play will be performed on local stages over the few weeks.  The Jungle Theatre presents The Glass Menagerie from Sept. 10th through Oct. 17th.  Director Bain Boehlke talks about the upcoming show.
