Governor Pawlenty has ordered that all Minnesota and U.S. flags be lowered to half staff today in honor of a fallen Marine from Minnesota. Master Sergeant Daniel Fedder was killed by a roadside bomb August 27. The 34-year-old Fedder was a highly decorated Marine bomb disposal technician. The 16-year corps veteran was previously deployed to Iraq in 2004 and 2006.
The funeral will be held at 10 o’clock at the Pine City National Guard Armory. It’s open to the public. Governor Pawlenty plans to attend. Sergeant Fedder will be buried in Pine City.
