Six coaches punished for incident that resulted in four players being kicked off team.
The fallout continues from the football hazing incident at Elk River High School. While school officials say they will be on the field for Friday’s game against Rogers, six football coaches have faced disciplinary actions for the hazing — which reportedly involved players being poked in the buttocks with broom handles. Elk River Superintendent Mark Bezek says the action taken resulted from an investigation by a law firm.
Details of the punishment were not released. That action follows removal of four players from the team, three other players were suspended for four games, and two players were suspended for one game.
