The number of holdups by a pair of suspected bank robbers in the Twin Cities continues to increase.
The latest robbery occurred at the U.S. Bank on Lancaster Lane north in Plymouth early Monday morning. The method was the same as other robberies. The suspects approached employees as they were opening the bank for business.
In Monday’s holdup, the robbers forced bank employees into the vault where they held a gun to an employee’s head and demanded money. After receiving an undetermined amount of cash, they bound and blindfolded the employees in the vault and fled.
It’s believed the same robbers are responsible for holdups in Champlin and Chanhassen last month.
