To start off this edition of Center Stage, Jearlyn took a couple of minutes to catch up with songstress Patty Peterson, who has put together the “Hope for Tomorrow” Benefit Concert to benefit theVEAP (Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People) organization. The concert will be on the afternoon of Oct. 3rd at the Edina Perfoming Arts Center.

The Frank Theatre in Minneapolis is running the show Eclipsed. The play about Liberian women who live together at the end of the country’s Civil War will run through Oct. 10th. Actresses Sha’ Cage and Signe Harriday discuss the piece.
The Children’s Theatre bring the influence of Dr. Seuss back to their stage with 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins. Artistic director Peter Brosius enlightens us on the show, which runs through Oct. 30th.
Martino Marraccino is returning his production of Martina’s Broadway Cabaret to the Twin Cities. This installment, entitled New Blood, will be available for a one-night performance Saturday night, Oct. 2nd, and the Bryant Lake Bowl in Minneapolis.
