Good To Know: A Showing Of Poor Judgement

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Every newscast we do, or anyone ever does, includes some story about somebody being arrested. After awhile, they seem to sound the same. Don Shelby says, not this one. You be the judge.

Actually, the person arrested was a judge. Not just any judge, but the Senior U.S. District Judge Jack T. Camp out of Atlanta, Ga.

The FBI arrested him and he's been released on $50,000 bond.

The accusation: He got too cozy with a lap-dancer at the local strip club. He allegedly paid for the lap dance, and then, well, then he paid for some other stuff that a family-friendly newscast might call "hanky panky," and some drugs, including cocaine, marijuana and prescription drugs.

When he was arrested, the police report says he had with him what they described as a bag of white powder and another bag of blue pills. Oh, and two handguns, one with the hammer cocked.

Judge Camp has a reputation of being really tough on crime. We'll watch to see if the criminal justice system will be tough on the judge.
