Official with Sanford Health tells Star Tribune they’re willing to discuss options with Twins
There’s a new development in the controversy over a huge sign near Target Field. The installation of the 28-hundred square foot sign on nearby Target Center prompted an uproar from city leaders and team officials last week; they said the space, which is clearly visible over the right field bleachers, is better suited for public art. Now, the company whose name appears on the sign – Sanford Health – tells the Star Tribune it’s willing to “tone down” the display to ease concerns. Twins president Dave St Peter says he wasn’t aware of the offer, but says it’s a matter for Sanford Health and the Minnesota Timberwolves to decide. The Wolves own the rights to the space for advertising.
