For now, the proposal to close Minneapolis North High School is in a holding pattern. Superintendant Bernardeia Johnson last night outlined her plan to close the school in three years due to a dramatic drop in enrollment. But three members of the board asked for more time to review her proposal . However, board members made it clear a delay does not mean the school will remain open. A public meeting on the issue is set for Monday night at the University of Minnesota’s Urban Research Center on Plymouth Avenue north.
