Residents Jump from Burning Complex

fire spelled out Residents Jump from Burning Complex

Residents tossed their children to safety — then jumped from a burning apartment building in south Minneapolis this morning. The blaze broke out in the 3400 block of 10th Avenue south around 4 am. Chilo Alvaredo caught the children of his sister-in-law, then assisted the mother after she jumped and suffered a fracture. That was the only injury reported. The fire, which began in a hallway, may be suspicious.
