The Vikings’ performance on the field isn’t doing much to bolster public support for a new stadium. According to the latest Star Tribune/Minnesota Poll, two-thirds of the state’s residents say the team should stay in the Metrodome. And three-fourths oppose public subsidies for a new Vikings stadium.
On the other hand, the poll finds support for the public funding for the Twins’ new ballpark has risen to 48 percent. That’s up from 29 percent four years ago.
