Coyote Alert in the West Metro

Alert issued in Golden Valley after coyote attacks family dog

A coyote problem has police in the West Metro telling residents to be on alert.  The alert comes from GoldenValley Police, following a coyote attack of a family’s Jack Russell Terrier. Members of that family came outside to see their dog in the jaws of a coyote, who then dropped the pet and ran off. Coyote sighting are not uncommon in the Twin Cities, but this level of aggression is something new to local authorities. They advise people with small dogs or pets to keep an eye on those animals when they are outside.
