Weather Blog: Wind, Rain And Snow?
A very intense low pressure center will cross the region over the next few days. We start will a good soaking of rain, and then the wind kicks into high gear.
How strong will the wind blow? How about 20-30 mph sustained winds with gusts near 50 mph?
We will keep a chance of scattered showers Tuesday and Wednesday as the wind remains strong.
Now the back-breaker. The coolest air this fall will surge in on the back end of the low pressure system. That cooler air will change the rain over to snow (especially up north).
I don't expect much accumulation with the warm ground, but the flakes will be flying for the first time this season.
