Slow Return To Normal As Storm Subsides

Twin Cities International Airport is back to operating two runways as a fierce storm gradually leaves the state. The airport had been using only one runway since Tuesday afternoon and that resulted in numerous flight cancellations and delays.

More than 100 flights were cancelled Tuesday and many travelers had to spend the night at the airport or in near-by hotels. Xcel energy says more than 10 thousand 500 Twin Cities customers were still without power Wednesday evening but progress is being made.
