10 Twins Become Free Agents

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) --Ten Minnesota Twins are hitting the free agent market, which ties them with Tampa Bay for the most in the major leagues.

A list including designated hitter Jim Thome, right-hander Carl Pavano and second baseman Orlando Hudson became free agents late on Monday night after the San Francisco Giants beat the Texas Rangers to win the World Series.

Thome, Pavano and reliever Jesse Crain all figure to draw significant interest from other teams.

Thome led the Twins with 25 home runs this season and Pavano won team-best 17 games.

The full list also includes relievers Brian Fuentes, Matt Guerrier, Ron Mahay, Jon Rauch and Randy Flores and infielder Nick Punto.
