MANKATO, Minn. (WCCO) – A missing 24-year-old Mankato woman been found safe, according to police.

Nicole Marie Strong was last seen at the Budget Host Inn in Mankato, Minn. on Wednesday.

Police say they received information that directed them to East Pleasant Street in Mankato. A vehicle with two women inside was seen leaving the area and was followed by investigators. Police pulled over the car and Strong was found inside on the passenger seat.

Strong told police she was leaving the area to avoid danger.

Police are investigating.
