MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The list of finalists to be the next president of the University of Minnesota will be released Friday.
The university Board of Regents will select from among four semifinalists, who have not been named.
Once the regents designate a candidate as a finalist, his or her name will be made public. The finalists will be invited to campus on Nov. 17 and 18 for public meetings and interviews.
The university intends to appoint the next president by the end of the year.
President Robert Bruininks plans to return to the university faculty when his contract expires June 30, 2011.
