ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) — Travis Novak scored goal with 1:04 left to force overtime, and the goalies dominated after that as Nebraska-Omaha and St. Cloud State skated to a 4-4 tie Saturday in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
Novak scored with an extra attacker after Nebraska-Omaha (8-1-1, 5-0-1) scored three straight times to go up 4-3.
Four different players notched goals for the Mavericks, who got four saves in overtime from John Faulkner, who had 16 saves.
Mike Lee had 32 stops for St. Cloud State (4-6-2, 2-3-1), including five in overtime. Brock Montpetit had two assists.
Jared Festler and Novak had a goal and assist apiece for St. Cloud. Aaron Marvin had two assists.
UNO beat the Huskies 3-0 on Friday.
