Police Look For Man Caught Standing In Stranger's House With Knives

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- St. Cloud Police were called to a house after a report that a strange man entered a home and was standing in a kitchen, holding two knives.

Around 3 a.m. Sunday, police were called to the 700 block of 6th Ave. S. when they got a call of a possible drunk man standing in a stranger's home.

The person who called said that he was hanging out at his friend's house when the smoke alarm went off in the kitchen. He said he went to investigate and saw a man standing there, holding two knives.

The witness ran upstairs and called 911, but the man had fled before police arrived.

The man who entered the house is described as a white male, around 5'10"- 5'11", between the ages if 18-25 with a stocky build and short curly hair. He was wearing a light colored shirt.

Police think the man entered through an unlocked door. They ask anyone with information to call St. Cloud Police at (320) 251-1200 or Crime Stoppers at (320) 255-1301.
