Beasley Piles Up Points In Minnesota
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Michael Beasley is having quite a week.
The Minnesota Timberwolves forward scored a career-high 42 points in a win over the Kings on the same day as the birth of his son. He followed that up with a 35-point binge in a win over the Knicks and is averaging 32.5 points over his last four games.
The Wolves are 2-2 in those games and showing more feistiness as Beasley gets more comfortable in his new surroundings. The Heat traded him to Minnesota this summer to create room for LeBron James and Chris Bosh, and the Timberwolves are delighted to have him.
Beasley's 130 points is the second-highest four-game total in franchise history behind Kevin Garnett's 143 set in 2000.
