BROOKLYN CENTER (WCCO) — The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating after a Brooklyn Center Police squad car was struck by another vehicle.

The accident occurred at 10:17 p.m. Tuesday on the 5100 block of Brooklyn Boulevard. The officer driving the squad car suffered injuries and was transported to North Memorial hospital.

Police say the injuries are not life threatening.

The other driver in the crash was held by the State Patrol for suspicion of drinking and driving.
