Sketch Released For St. Paul Luring Suspect

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- St. Paul police are investigating another report of a man trying to lure a young girl.

In the latest case, a 17-year-old girl says a man tried to lure her into his pickup Thursday on St. Paul's west side.

Police say the man stopped three times and spoke to the girl, at one point getting out of his truck and telling the girl to get in.

The girl refused, ran to a nearby school and called police. She was not hurt.

The man is described as a 40- to 50-year-old Latino man with a heavy build, long dark pony tail and scruffy build.

The man's truck is described as a newer silver two-door pickup with tinted windows and a Mexican flag decal covering the entire back window. The truck also had Minnesota license plates with "ducks," which means they may be Critical Habitat plates.

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the man. Investigators don't believe the incident is related to previous reports of men trying to lure girls in St. Paul.

Anyone with information is asked to call the St. Paul Police Department at 651-291-1111 or call 911.
