CARVER COUNTY (WCCO) — A 55-year-old Arkansas man died in a head-on crash in Carver County Wednesday night, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Authorities say James Filek of Sherwood, Ark. was driving westbound on Highway 5 in a van when he crossed the center line and struck an SUV head on.
The driver of the other car, identified as 46-year-old Sebastian Angeles of Lester Prairie, Minn., suffered non-life threatening injuries.
According to the patrol, the road conditions were wet, but it’s unsure if it was a factor in the crash.
