2 Hurt, 1 Arrest In River Centre Stabbing, Fights

ST. PAUL Minn. (WCCO) -- Two people are hurt and a man has been arrested after a stabbing inside the St. Paul River Centre Saturday night, according to police.

Officers had to respond to multiple fights in the River Centre at about 5:30, and closed the gates for about 30 minutes while they got several hundred people out of the building and put a stop to the fights.

In one of them, police say they arrested a 19-year-old man for stabbing two teenagers, ages 16 and 17, on suspicion of aggravated assault. The youngest suffered only minor injuries. The 17-year-old is in stable condition at Regions Hospital.

Police believe the stabbing may be gang-related, but it is still under investigation.

In addition to the arrest, three adults and three minors were cited for disorderly conduct in that fight.

Two adults and two minors were also cited for disorderly conduct in another fight, in which no one was hurt.
