EDEN VALLEY, Minn. (AP) — A farm worker has died after a windmill crashed onto the tractor he was using to remove snow in central Minnesota.
The Meeker County sheriff’s office says 52-year-old Patrick Ladd of Eden Valley was using a small loader tractor to push snow when he apparently hit an old windmill on the property Tuesday.
The 40-foot-tall windmill collapsed and fell on the tractor as Ladd was backing away. The West Central Tribune of Willmar reports the tractor got hung up on a steel post and was still running when another employee of Langmo Farms discovered the victim.
