CHANHASSEN, Minn. (AP) — The volunteer auxiliary at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum holds its annual holiday sale this coming weekend.

The sale runs Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Snyder Building Auditorium at the Arboretum in Chanhassen.

Organizers say the items on sale will include arrangements featuring wreaths, natural ornaments, potpourris, aromatherapy items, textiles, apparel and pressed flower specialties. A special highlight is fresh greens shipped in from the West Coast.

Shoppers can get first crack at them during the Preview Night Sale on Thursday complete with wine and hors d’oeuvres. It runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., in the Snyder Building. Tickets for the evening are $25 per person.

All proceeds benefit the work of the Arboretum.

I would go if they grew a pair of balls and called it a “Christmas sale”

How ironic that a highlight of the sale is having “fresh greens” shipped in from the West Coast. What an environmentally smart thing for the Arboretum to do!
